MacShack Enterprises To SHIP Enhanced MyTimeManager 3.0 for the Macintosh
Cambridge, Mass., August 1, 1990 -- MacShack Enterprises will begin shipping MyTimeManager version 3.0 for the Macintosh on August 8th, in time for the 1990 MacWorld Exposition in Boston. Version 2.5 of MTM shipped in March 1990. In the process of adding new features, ease-of-use has been maintained or improved.
The ten major enhancements introduced with version 3.0 strengthen MyTimeManager's position as a leading personal productivity tool, while continuing to offer a number of innovative features not found in any other Macintosh application. The retail price of MyTimeManager 3.0 remains $79.95.
TEN MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS INTRODUCED WITH MTM 3.0
Features new in MTM 3.0 include:
1) Multi-user Network Features which support network password and access privileges;
2) A ╥Point-and-click MiniCalendar╙¬ enters dates and navigates your calendar;
3) Several new types of recurring entries are part of many "cyclical" improvements;
4) Multi-Day Events can span any number of days, for conferences, vacations etc.;
5) An improved reminder facility lets you snooze or reset a reminder to any date and time;
6) File Import╔ and Export╔ capabilities let you easily move data between applications;
7) An improved Weekly View of your schedule lets you display any consecutive 7 days;
8) New and improved reporting provides more formats and options for printing calendars;
9) A ╥Meeting Meter Timeline╙¬ highlights booked hours and sets appointment hours;

PRE-EXISTING MyTimeManager FEATURES
With the MyTimeManager application running, you have instant access to calendar views spanning hours, days, weeks, months, and years. Changes are immediately reflected in all views of your schedule. MTM checks for meeting conflicts and overlaps, and will optionally seek out and schedule a later or earlier time that is free .
A variety of scheduling tools ease the task of entering events. Dates can be specified as Today, Tomorrow, or Next Friday, for instance, or you can point and click to select the appropriate date in a perpetual calendar. If you prefer to type in a date or time, you can do that too: data entry is simple, straight forward, and flexible. Commonly used date and time formats, including abbreviations and 24 hour time, are accepted. MTM allows the International user to enter and display dates and times in their local format.
In addition:
o A "To Do" list displays "All Items", "Open Items", or "Done Items" and can be sorted and printed by due date, priority, category, or modification date.
o "Busy-ness Highlighting"¬ indicates how "busy" each day is.
o Copy and paste commands let you exchange data between MTM and electronic mail.
o The "Find" command lets you rapidly find text containing phone numbers, names, addresses, or meeting notes.
o A World Time Zone dialog let's you determine the time in major cities throughout the world.
MyTimeManager SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
MyTimeManager runs on a MacPlus or later using System 6.0.3/Finder 6.1 or later. Color monitors are supported: busy days, holidays, and weekends can be highlighted in color.
